This article talks about how to be o good translator and gives examples of a good trasnlator's features. It say that a translator should have comprehensive knowledge of both the source and the target language. I agree this because this is the main point of being a trasnlator. If a translator cannot use his/her native or the target language effectively and comprehensively than he/she cannot be a good translator. The translator should understand the both languages and also should be able to write in both language effectively, the article says. The translator should have a writing ablity because while doing text or book translations she/he should express himself/herself. S/he should expres what s/he really wants to write. as in the previous article that I reflected on, this article aslo says that a good trasnlator should know the culture, customs and social settings of the source and target language speakers. Another important thing the article mentions is that, a translator should choose a specific trasnlation are for him/herself. For example if s/he is good at scientific books or text than s/he should continue with this subject because a good trasnlator should know all the terms that are related to the specific subject that s/he interested in.
